SCREEN PRINTING, DESIGN AND ILLUSTRATION STUDIO ASSISTANT

We are looking for a creative detail-oriented shop assistant to help with daily operations in an artistic environment.

A unique opportunity to work directly with the owner and operator who has learned all aspects of the

trade. Perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced hands on work, bringing art into the world of printing &

design while maintaining an organized flow of operations in the shop. After 28 years in the industry we work

with a wide range of clients from global businesses to small local private clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Screen printing

Setting up the silk screen process start to finish, manual printing on various substrates including tees, posters, plastics, ect, organizing garments, mixing inks, reclaiming

Design and Illustration

Assist with design and artwork, Generating concepts and ideas and developing it to a final product, most projects

starting with brainstorming thumbnails and using vector files when necessary. Utilizing Adobe programs,

Procreate, formatting, graphic design, typeface, setting up print files.

Overseeing paper printing

Operate and navigate digital press for mass print production, general printer upkeep, cutting paper, finishing, stapling, and packaging.

REQUIREMENTS

Vinyl Cutting/install

Overseeing vinyl cutting, vinyl weeding and prep,

assist with on-sight vinyl install

Managing shop inventory

Maintaining production supplies, paper, inks, ordering supplies

Organization

Maintaining a clean and organized shop, organizing supplies and general shop cleanliness

Misc.

Interacting with clients, website upkeep, quoting, promotional assistance, Run errands to pick up supplies, assist with on-sight consultations.

Adobe Suite Experience Mandatory
Most importantly a strong worth ethic
with willingness to learn, adapt, and problem solve.
Comfortable with physical work
Art Degree, Professional experience preferred but
not mandatory depending on a case by case basis
Screen printing Experience preferred
Organization skills
Bonus points for reliable transportation

Hourly wage based on Experience.

9-5 M-F Full or Part-time after training period.
